I'm an ex-musician and a 50something dad. which sounds horribly like the opening sentence to a Nick Hornby or Tony Parsons novel.
Music used to be what drove me - listening to it, dancing to it, writing it, performing it. I've put a few records out, but nothing that sold more than a few thousand copies. Like a lot of people, I couldn't imagine living without music. Now, other things have taken its place.
I keep looking at my vinyl collection (about 9 feet long - what's that, 1,000 records?), and wondering if I'll ever play any of it again. Now I'm going to play it piece by piece, and make notes. The records aren't in any order, I'm just going to start at one end and work through to the other, hence "End to End Vinyl"
You can find out a bit more about what I currently do by looking at my other blog.
